| This is a not so good Doctor.
Hailing from the Wings of Change Mental Health Centre in Missoula, Montana. His facility is being shut down for strictly financial reasons. He came across Hallowsgate after having one of his patient's transferred there. He was intrigued and applied. Maybe he'd always like West Virginia, maybe he has some family there. The details of the reasons he gives is all up to you.
The truth is, he's here for Janine. He'd been her doctor for sometime when he noticed her condition starting to change as her Depersonalization Disorder set in. He'd always felt an attraction. Maybe even a love there if you'd like. But he knew the line. One day some strong drugs left her completely out of it, fading in and out of confusion and consciousness. He could resist no longer. Since then it's been a never ending cycle: trying to cover his tracks, confused her, make her forget or doubt herself, and giving in to temptation again and again. He doesn't know how to stop now, he's in far too deep.
He thought maybe assigning her to someone else, getting some distance, might help. Then transferring her out of the state. He even escorted her to Hallowsgate to try to make sure she had a good baseline of belief before he left her. But the more he thinks about it the more he realizes he needs to maintain the control on this.
So, he's applying to Hallowsgate to follow her and hopefully get back on her roster.
It's up to the player who takes him if he's all bad, or maybe a bit sick himself. Either way, he's a man in too deep, struggling to keep control of a bad situation that he created. There can be a lot of delicious angsty guilt there if you play it right. Read up on the idea of Gaslighting if you take this character, as it's a big aspect here. Currently, Phillip has Janine convinced she wronged him in someway: lots of confusion and guilt and feeling like a bad person. But his escorting her to Hallowsgate was meant to leave her feeling like she was forgiven to some extent, that they aren't on bad terms. So that would be the starting point for Dr. Morn. He can twist her whichever way the player would like from there. More guilt, or maybe something more affectionate, it's up to you.
I have zero requirements as far as his appearance, age or anything else. It's free-game. I feel as thought I've already asked plenty of you, haven't I? If you take this character, make no mistake, I will be ecstatic! <3 | |
